DESCRIPTION

Shades of Africa Guesthouse and Boutique Olive Estate is situated in the heart of heritage Oudtshoorn amongst shady orchards of olives, pomegranates and flat top acacias. Centered around one of the last remaining Ostrich Baron Tower Houses in Oudtshoorn, the three beautifully restored historic sandstone buildings are separated from each other by private Victorian style gardens.

Air conditioned en-suite bedrooms as well as honeymoon and family suites equipped with DSTV and Wifi. A private gym, 18m lap pool and tanning deck are located in different houses and gardens to the family accommodation with its 16m swimming pool. So whether you are traveling as a family or looking for a quiet retreat you will find what you are looking for at ‘Shades’

Centrally located in Oudtshoorn’s historical centre, the suburb is peaceful, safe and clean. Five review rated restaurants offering a diversity of local and international cuisine as well as a number of pubs and wine bars are located within a short half-kilometer walk.

Shades of Africa offers an airport shuttle and taxis and a car hire services are available. There are many tour operators providing easy access to safe mountain biking and hiking routes for all levels of enthusiast, fly-fishing, malaria free birding and animal safaris, ostrich farms, the Kango Caves are just some of the local attractions.

Twin bedroom with private lounge and en-suite full bathroom. The lounge has a daybed for guests traveling with children also has DSTV and Wi-Fi. Room has private access and covered veranda, garden and private pool. Safe onsite parking and motorized gate access to property.

Owners live on the property, receive guests and interact with our guests on a regular basis. We run the guesthouse hands on.
